Stegman For Chapel Hill

Beginning in Summer 2021, Jade served as campaign manager for Karen Stegman’s campaign for reelection to Chapel Hill Town Council.

As Campaign Manager, Jade was responsible for

  • leading an internship program

  • planning and hosting events

  • leading fundraising efforts and developing budgets

  • managing social media

  • assisting with policy and opposition research and more.

  • As of November 2, 2021, Karen Stegman was successfully reelected as the top vote winner, gaining more votes than any other Town Council or Mayoral candidate and winning 877 more votes than her 2017 run. She was also selected as Mayor Pro Tem for the Town of Chapel Hill.

Buansi for NC House

Beginning in December 2021, Jade served as Allen Buansi’s field director for his campaign to represent NC House district 56.

As field director, Jade was responsible for

  • managing volunteers, created social media content, trained field team members, developed and executed field strategy, and more.

  • Assisting in mass communication strategies including volunteer recruitment and supporter outreach through large email lists and created graphics to publicize events and opportunities.

  • developing training materials for canvassing, phone banking and poll greeting for volunteers and staff in addition to leading training sessions in person and digitally.

  • creating and leading an internship program consisting of local high school and college students where I schedule weekly meetings, training and outreach events on UNC Chapel Hill campus to engage local students.

  • On May 17th, Allen Buansi was elected to the North Carolina General Assembly as a House Representative by 435 votes. Buansi will take office on June 1.

Penny for ROD

Beginning in December 2021, Jade served as communications director for Penny Rich’s race for Orange County Register of Deeds.

As communications director, Jade was responsible for

  • developing social media strategy, creating content across multiple social media platforms, leading email campaigns, identifying weaknesses and developed new strategies for fundraising approaches, and more. 

  • managing relationships between my candidate and local representatives to learn more about the Register of Deeds office, spreading the word to voters, and digitally present the information to the community to increase race visibility.

  • utilizing social media to create conversation around a lesser known race through storytelling and educating the community about the Register of Deeds office and responsibility, turning a low-visibility race into one of the most contested and publicized races of the cycle in Orange County.

Friends for Batch

Beginning in July 2020, Jade served as an organizing fellow for Sydney Batch’s reelection campaign to NC House.

As an organizing fellow, Jade was responsible for

  • making calls to Wake County constituents with a focus on providing information on the absentee ballot process, Representative Batch's platform, etc.

  • recruiting volunteers to phonebank, textbank, and postcard for Sydney Batch

  • assisting with digital organizing (Facebook, Mobilize, etc.),

  • taking a precinct-level leadership role in Get-Out-The-Vote.

  • Jade received a leadership award given for progress accomplished as a phonebank captain for the duration of the campaign

  • Sydney Batch is now a State Senator for district 17.
